Find out whether you are sleeping too much, too little or just enough and how it could be affecting your health....
Mathew Walker is a Professor of Neuroscience and in this video he talks about how some methods we use to help us sleep at night could be preventing us from getting a good quality restorative sleep. He suggests the amount of sleep and the quality of sleep we get each night has an impact on our health and wellbeing. He gives examples of some ineffective methods such as the use of alcohol and/or marijuana and explains why these methods don't work.
I became a CBT therapist simply because I care about people, which is why I chose to work in the NHS. Early in my life and throughout my life I have struggled through a number of difficult experiences and as a result I have become stronger in many ways. I am passionate about helping others to improve their own mental health and wellbeing and believe my personal life experiences enable me to truly empathise with the many difficulties I support clients with in my CBT work.
